Itinerary
Day 1:Cairo
We arrive in the land of Joseph, Moses, and the Pharaohs of Egypt. Upon arrival at the airport we meet our guide and are immediately transported into Cairo, the capital of Egypt. Your private van or car transports you to one of Cairo’s top rated hotels, and you will begin soaking up the atmosphere of this exciting city.
Day 2: Memphis, Sakkara, Josephs Storehouses
After breakfast we start our full day tour. We enjoy a short ride to Memphis. Memphis was founded around 3,100 BC. It was the legendary city of Menes, the King who united Upper and Lower Egypt. From a Biblical perspective, Memphis was the place where Abraham lied to Pharaoh about his wife Sarah being his sister. Further, it is believed to be the location where Joseph served as second in command. While in Memphis we view a very large and well preserved statue of Ramses II. Next we travel to Sakkara, which is one of the most extensive archaeological sites in Egypt. Sakkara is dominated by the Step Pyramid of King Zoser, dating back to 2700 BC. It is one of the oldest stone structures in the world. After we visit the Step Pyramid, we enjoy a stop at a local Egyptian carpet shop. Then we take a short southern drive to Faiyum, the region created by the wisdom of Joseph. Here you will find ancient storehouses and a man-made lake created by a canal, whose construction was supposedly ordered by Joseph. It is believed that this lake provided irrigation for a desert land and supplied the food needed to survive his prophesied seven year famine. Back to Cairo for overnight. ( B, L )
Day 3: Cairo Pyramids & Tutankhamens Treasures

After lunch, we travel to the Egyptian Museum, location of Tutankhamen`s treasures and ancient remains. End the day with a walking tour of the largest 13th century covered oriental market, the largest traditional shopping bazaar in the world, the Khan el-Khalili Bazaar. In the tiny alleyways, there are hundreds of shops where you can watch gold and coppersmiths, brass makers, and fortunetellers at work. A transfer is made to the Land of Goshen. Here we visit Wadi Feiran. Few places are steeped in Biblical mystery as the great Wadi Feiran. It is Sinai’s largest wadi (valley) and one of the most archeologically important stretches of terrain. It was here, according to locals, scholars, and legend, that Moses struck the rock with his staff, bringing forth a spring so his people could drink. Feiran is also the site of Rephidim, the fabled oasis where the Hebrews camped and battled the Amalekites. For the pilgrims and Christians who have been coming to this wadi for centuries, a journey through Feiran is to pass through an entire chapter of the Old Testament itself.
Also, we will visit the Greek Seven Girl’s Monastery. It is located on a spring in the middle of an oasis. In this vicinity it is surmised that Joshua defeated the Amalekites while Moses and Aaron gave their prayerful support. Our last stop today will be at the Springs of Moses. Seven mi/11km southeast of Suez, on the east side of the gulf, are the Springs of Moses. (Ain Musa) This group of hot springs (70-84 degrees F vs. 21-29 degrees C) have both sweet and bitter springs. They form a fertile oasis. One of the springs is said to be the bitter spring of Marah which Moses made sweet by casting a piece of wood into it. (Exodus 15:23) From this side of the gulf there are fine views of the sea and the heights of the Gebel Ataqa Range to the west. Dinner and overnight in Ain El Sokhna.
( B, D )
Day 8: Land of Goshen & Cairo
After breakfast we begin our tour of the Land of Goshen, the Eastern Delta, a place associated with Joseph. It is here that the Israelites grew, flourished, and were eventually enslaved after 430 years of freedom. It is said that this happened when a new king arose over Egypt who did not know Joseph. We visit Tanis, one of the storied treasure cities of Rameses II, and the Biblical areas of Succoth and Pithom. From here, Moses led the Israelites on their wilderness journey to the Promised land. In the afternoon, we transfer to Cairo. A stop will be made at the papyrus factory store, where we see the process of creating lovely Egyptian art pictures. ( B, L )

Itinerary
Day 1: Cairo
You will arrive in the land of Joseph, Moses, and the Pharaohs of Egypt. Upon arrival at Cairo airport, Orient Travel Plus International Representative will be waiting for you after you get your luggage and clear customs and will be holding the Orient Travel Plus International Green sign, than will transfer you to your hotel, and you will begin soaking up the atmosphere of this exciting city.
Day 2: Cairo, Memphis, Sakkara, Joseph Storehouses
It is believed that this lake provided irrigation for a desert land and supplied the food needed to survive his prophesied seven year famine, back to Cairo for overnight. ( B, L )
Day 3: Alexandria, Wadi El Natrun
We travel today toward Alexandria. On the way, we visit the Wadi El Natrun. It lies some 23 meters below sea level. Here there are lakes which are fed from the water table of the Nile. These lakes dot the landscape. Wadi El Natrun contains the most important Christian monastic center, and it is a prime attraction for Christian religious tourists who travel to the Holy land. There is good reason for this. The monasteries at Wadi Natrun and the surrounding region constitute some of the earliest, if not the earliest, Christian monasteries in the world. The district containing these monasteries has been known by many names, often derived from different languages, including Scetis, Scythis, al-lsuqit(al-Askit), Shiet, Shihat(Shihet), Scitium and Wadi Habib. Further, it includes the Cloister of Amba Beshoy. Continue to Alexandria and stop for sea food lunch at a local restaurant. Then proceed to visit Alexandria Library and the Montazah Palace. (from outside) Drive back to Cairo. ( B, L )
Day 4: Pyramids, Sphinx, and Egyptian Museum
A full day of touring begins today with some sights of ancient Egypt - some of which date back to 1000+ years prior to Abraham. Today, we visit the world famous pyramids of Giza. Cheops, with an original height of 496 feet, is the most colossal pyramid ever built. We take a trip inside to see the burial chamber. Then, we view two other pyramids and the Sphinx. Look also for leather goods and woodwork inlaid with camel bone and mother-of-pearl. Bargaining, Arab-style, is the norm here, and practiced as a national pastime. Overnight in Cairo. ( B, L )
Day 5: Cairo, Aswan, Abu Simbel, Nile Cruise
Morning flight to Abu Simbel via Aswan, situated 280km south of Aswan. The two temples of Abu Simbel are the most magnificent temples in the world. After visiting these temples, we fly back to Aswan. Upon arrival, you will be escorted to your Nile Cruise Boat where you will spend the next 3 nights / 4 days. Lunch is served on the cruise boat. Then you will start your Cruise shore excursion. See firsthand High Dam, and the Granite Quarries with the Unfinished Obelisk. Enjoy a motor boat ride with a Nubian captain to Aglika island. Tour the temples and other ruins there. Originally all of these temples were moved from Philae island because of high water caused by High Dam. Overnight in Aswan. ( B, L, D )
Day 6: Aswan, Kom Ombo, Edfu, Luxor
Early river cruise to Kom Ombo and visit Kom Ombo Temple (the Ptolemaic Temple of Sobek & Haroeries). Then cruise to Edfu & visit Edfu Temple also known as the Temple of Horus, the falcon-god, (237 B.C.). This temple is considered to be the best-preserved temple in Ancient Egypt and the second largest after the Temple of Karnak. A horse drawn carriage ride takes you to the temple and back to your deluxe cruise boat. Cruise to Luxor and overnight in Luxor. ( B, L, D )
Day 7: Luxor, Optional Sound & Light Show
Visit the West Bank necropolis including the Valley of the Kings, the funerary temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon. After having lunch on our cruise ship, we proceed to visit the East bank of Luxor. There, we stop to see both the Karnak and Luxor Temples. Prepare to immerse yourself around a centuries-old city of pylons, hypostyle halls, colossal statues, shrines and obelisks. In the evening, you may choose our optional tour (Sound & Light Show L14 - $35 P.P) Overnight in Luxor. ( B, L, D )
Day 8: Luxor, Cairo
After breakfast, check out from your Nile Cruise, transfer to Luxor airport for your return flight to Cairo, rest of the day is free at leisure, or may be last minute shopping in Cairo. ( B )
Day 9: Cairo, Departure
After early breakfast at the hotel we will be transferred to Cairo airport for our departure flight back home. ( B )
You will arrive in the land of Joseph, Moses, and the Pharaohs of Egypt.
